The Southwest Harbor & Tremont Backpack Program, is a food program overseen by

Harbor House Community Center and the Westside Food Pantry.

Your contribution helps us provide bags of food to children who have been identified as being food insecure. The program currently supports 26 children from Pemetic and Tremont Schools, providing bags of food weekly and during school vacations. During challenging economic times, we have served as many as 47 children. Given the decrease in federal support for food benefits we anticipate that the number of children participating in our program will rise.
